On September 18th, Scotland votes as to whether it will become an independent country. That's all the excuse I need to pretend that there's a massive Braveheart-style rivalry happening between England and Scotland. Why not? Let's roll out some Scottish games and have them fight against some English ones. What'll this achieve? Well, I can call the losers harsh words like "poop heads" and shame their sense of national pride.Yes, obviously this is a little bit of fun, and not a serious poll. So feel free to vote for the side that you think wins based on its line-up of games in the comments section, alright?Good. Right then. First up, in the blue corner, representing Scotland, is this lot...The Nightmare CooperativeBy Lucky Frame - EdinburghA superb party-based roguelike with high replay value, sumptuous art work, and a smattering of challenging interconnecting mechanics.Impossible RoadBy Pixels On Toast - EdinburghPure in look and play, Impossible Road isn't just a game; it's a habit. You attempt to roll a ball down a curving nightmare, leaping down by accident or at your own risk.Grand Theft Auto: San AndreasBy Rockstar North - EdinburghWith San Andreas, the GTA series became entrenched in the early '90s hip-hop scene with its usual mix of satire, explosions, stunts, and greasy food.Tank Battle: North AfricaBy Hunted Cow Studios - MorayCharging into battle with tanks isn't very Scottish, really. Still, this is old-school turn-based strategy about tougher times and the units that pushed through it. Grit -that's what this is.Fist of AwesomeBy I Fight Bears - ex-Scotland / infiltratorWhile developer Nicoll Hunt has moved to London, he lets none of the Scottish spirit down when making a game about beards and punching bears. And anyway, he'd certainly vote "Yes" for Scottish independence if he could.Right, now that Scotland has lined itself up, pumped some iron, and is ready to shove a few fists where they shouldn't belong; let's see what England has to offer...Monument ValleyBy ustwo - LondonNot the most challenging puzzler, but Monument Valley's beautiful trickery has captivated more players than most this year.Joe DangerBy Hello Games - GuildfordStunt bike riding made perfect for the touchscreen. It's competitive, glorious fun and easily a mobile classic. We could even square the two countries off against each other in this game.New Star SoccerBy New Star Games - OxfordAh, a classic sport and arguably in its best form here for mobile. What better way to settle a dispute by setting up a Scotland vs. England match? Let's have it, then.Icebreaker: A Viking VoyageBy Nitrome - LondonScotland may have a spirit closer to the viking's, but it didn't create the best, wittiest, and viking-based physics puzzler on mobile, did it? Nope. The RoomBy Fireproof Games - GuildfordNow here's something that Scotland isn't known for having - sophistication. Yes, The Room's intricate puzzles take place around and inside a series of posh boxes. Fantastic and surprising. That's that, then. It's time for you to vote on the nation that you think deserves to win this pretend war I've constructed for my own entertainment.Let us know which country you think has produced the best games out of this selection we've picked. If you have any other games you think should represent either Scotland or England, well then, we want to hear them.Develop: Brighton this year held an absolute bucket-load of talent, from the entrants in the Big Indie Pitch to those on the show floor. One game that stood out marvellously however was Andy Campbell and Mez Breeze's upcoming VR title, Pluto.Yesterday to celebrate the end of their closed BETA they announced Pluto's new title, All The Delicate Duplicates, and have launched their very first trailer. All The Delicate Duplicates follows the story of a computer engineer, John, and his daughter Charlotte after the two inherit a couple of bizarre objects from a mysterious relative. The game is an exploration and marriage of story, art, and script. By incorporating text into the character's surroundings All The Delicate Duplicates has abandoned the age-old way of getting across information from a book/diary page, and instead uses virtual reality to its advantage. We'll be watching out as the game progresses so keep your eyes on us. It appears a public BETA is on the cards sometime soon but no specific date has been announced as of yet. It's also been clarified today that whilst the full game will definitely be available on VR shortly after its PC/Mac release, only the story will be accessible by mobile. We're still not sure what form this 'mobile story' will take as of yet but here's to hoping it's something more creative than just a readable document.Until more information is released check out the trailer below and have a badger at All The Delicate Duplicate's website here.

AN ASS once carried through the streets of a city a famous wooden Image, to be placed in one of its Temples. As he passed along, the crowd made lowly prostration before the Image. The Ass, thinking that they bowed their heads in token of respect for himself, bristled up with pride, gave himself airs, and refused to move another step. The driver, seeing him thus stop, laid his whip lustily about his shoulders and said, "O you perverse dull-head! it is not yet come to this, that men pay worship to an Ass."Gacha Club MOD APK players can create their own story and apply the story to create characters.
