BAFTA announced the nominations for its Games Awards today. A number of mobile games are among them, but two in particular have received nine nominations between them.The first one is ustwo's mesmerising puzzler Monument Valley which has received five nominations. Those include Artistic Achievement, Best Game, British Game, Mobile & Handheld, and Original Property.The other one is inkle's around-the-world adventure 80 Days receiving four nominations. Those were for British Game, Game Innovation, Mobile & Handheld, and Story.The Banner Saga and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft each received three nominations. While Hitman GO, The Sailor's Dream, Threes!, Valiant Hearts, The Walking Dead: Season 2, and The Wolf Among Us each got two nominations.Other mobile and handheld games that were nominated include Shovel Knight, Twelve A Dozen, Broken Age, OlliOlli, Hohokum, Skylanders Trap Team, and Counterspy.The BAFTA Games Awards will be hosted by comedian Rufus Hound on March 11th at Tobacco Dock in London.
